Fake SB and Ganeda took off their music careers as a bassist and drummer, respectively, while exchanging their extensive scope of musical tastes since 1999 when they met as high school buddies. They stayed active in their musical careers by working as musical technicians and musicians in small recording sessions, and making guest appearances at live gigs. After a two-year stint in the army –a mandatory duty for all Korean men with Korean citizenship- they ambitiously launched an independent art group THUS, designed Street Art and started their own clothing line.

Around that time, the duo was deeply into the experimental music of Beck, David Holmes, and Cornelius characterized by the coexistence of acoustic and electronic sounds. And building upon their shared passion for instrumental beat, pop and electronic as echoed by bands such as RJD2 and Sound Providers, in 2006 the two released Size of Fullbite.

Size of Fullbite’s music combines colorful sounds and noise influenced by ambient, chill-out, instrumental hip-hop on top of their foundation of band music to create a unique feel. Size of Fullbite doesn’t limit itself to a set category; rather it constantly strives to convey a myriad of emotions and imagination through its distinctive style.

 

고등학교 친구로 만난 FakeSB와 Ganeda는 1999년부터 여러 음악을 공유하며 같은 밴드의 드러머와 베이시스트로 음악적 커리어를 시작했다. 이후 작은 레코딩 세션에서 연주자, 라이브 gig에서 게스트 밴드 및 테크니션 등의 활동을 했다. 한국에서는 모든 남자의 의무인 군대에서 retire한 후 인디펜던트 아트웤 그룹 THUS을 만들고 Street Art 와 의류를 디자인, 제작하는 일을 하기도 했다.

그 즈음 Beck과 David Holmes, Cornelius등의 어쿠스틱 가운드와 전자음이 공존하는 실험적인 일렉트로닉 음악에 빠져있던 둘은 RJD2와 같은 인스트루멘탈 비트와 팝, 일렉트로니카에 대한 각자의 애정을 기반으로 의기투합해 2006년 Size of Fullbite를 시작하게 되었다.

Size Of Fullbite의 음악은 엠비언트, 칠아웃, 인스트루멘탈 힙합과 기타 일렉트로니카에서영향을 받은 다양한 사운드와 노이즈가 그들의 출발점이었던 기타와 베이스 등의 밴드음악적 요소들과 혼재되어 독특한 분위기를 자아낸다. 장르적인 규정이 어려운 SOFB의 음악은 특정한 장르적 사운드에 의지하지 않으면서 동시에 다양한 감정과 상상력을 표현하기 위한 노력이 엿보이는 음악이다.
